As part of my Sephora Beauty Insider 500 point gift, I recieved a sample of the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask.
I was curious about the mask for sometime, as it received great reviews on the Sephora website.
The Claim: Suitable for all skin types, the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask is a peel off mask that removes skin impurities, reduces the look of pore size, and reveals a brighter, smoother complexion.
Key ingredients are:
• Vitamin C helps brighten skintone and reduce the look of fine lines.
• Montmorillonite Clay absorbs excess oil, dirt and toxins from the skin.
• Pine Bark Extract, a powerful antioxidant, conditions the skin and defends from free radical damage.
• Jojoba Leaf, a powerful antioxidant, combats free radical damage while it nourishes and protects skin to prevent premature aging, and Willowherb, a unique anti-irritant, helps to calm skin inflammation and reduce visible redness and irritation.
Our Results: When first dispensing the mask from the tube, I realize it really, I mean really, is a black mask. The liquid is pitch black. I applied it to my face as the directions instructed and it looked like I had black mud on my face. Seriously, I startled my 10 year old when I walked downstairs. The mask needs to be applied quickly as it gets sticky and difficult to spread once it hits air. It’s like black glue.
I left it on for 20 min. You’re supposed to peel it off, but that was it happening, so I rinsed it off easily. I really can’t say I noticed much of a difference—perhaps I didn’t put enough on due to the sticky texture. My face did feel cleaner–but that’s about it. I’ll try it again another time to see if I get different results.
You can purchase it at Sephora’s and the Boscia web site for $34.00.
**UPDATE** Saw myself in a different light a few minutes later. Wow! My skin is definitely glowing 🙂 My son said he notices the results (he’s going to make a great husband one day lol).
