Gotta love the months of October and November–they bring us all the greats. Jack-o-lantern’s, candy corn, pumpkin pie, roasted pumpkin seeds…and pumpkin spice latté (Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks have great pumpkin coffees, btw).
But what most people don’t know are the beauty benefits of pumpkin. Erika Katz, Author of Bonding Over Beauty, A Mother-Daughter Guide to Self-Esteem, Confidence and Trust, reveals that pumpkin contains a good amount of Vitamin A, which is essential to healing and repair the skin. Added bonus: it helps in the fight against wrinkles!
Katz shares a great DIY pumpkin face mask:
Pumpkin Face Mask
2 tsp canned pureed pumpkin
1/2 tsp honey
1/4 tsp heavy whipping cream
Mix all ingredients and apply to face. Leave on for 10 min and rinse
