For most women, blow drying your hair is a chore depending on hair type. I know it personally takes me around 25 minutes for a haphazard blow dry. I’m not even going to go into how long it takes trying to do a proper blow dry with a round brush and the likes.
That’s why I really love a new product I recently tried. It Factor Quick Blowdry Shampoo and Conditioner is a new revolutionary shampoo and conditioner duo that the company claims can shave as much as 50% off your drying time. Available for coarse or fine hair, It Factor uses a special VaporBoost SystemTM, which speeds up evaporation by reducing the bond between water and the hair shaft. Once heat is applied, the water releases from hair more easily and turns into water vapor more quickly.
I tried the line for coarse hair and I loved how moisturizing the shampoo and conditioner were. As an added bonus, it’s free of harsh sulfates, parabens, sodium chloride and alcohol. My normal 25 minute blow dry only took about 15 minutes–that’s 10 more minutes of sleep in the morning!
It Factor shampoo for fine and medium to coarse hair is $22.50 for an 8.5-oz. size and $22.50 for conditioner for fine and medium to coarse hair for a 6.8-oz. size. It’s available at salons nationwide. Go to www.itfactorbeauty.com for locations.

Gotta love Sephora and the free goodies they send when you order online!
I received a sample of Dr. Brandt’s Microdermabrasion Exfoliating Face Cream a couple of months ago with my Sephora order. Last month I decided to give it a whirl and have been using it 2x a week.
This is a great product for exfoliating. The particles are very fine and after each use, my skin is super soft, smooth, and radiant. And unlike some facial scrubs, it doesn’t irritate or dry out my skin. I also think it helps soak up my other face products after use.
Not a single pimple this month, and I think it has to do with this miracle product.
At $75, it’s not cheap, but I would shell out the cash for this. Until then, I will be squeezing the life out of my sample!
My honeymoon this past May was fantastic. The hubby and I spent 8 days at the beautiful Secrets Silversands in Rivera Cancun, Mexico. It was the perfect relaxation trip after months of stressful wedding planning. Our days were filled with the beach, cocktails, and spa treatments! My husband loves a good spa day, just as much as I do, so we were there quite often getting pedicures, massages, and facials.
When I arrived at the resort, I realized I forgot my face wash (clutch the pearls)! So on a trip to the Secrets Spa by Pevonia, I grabbed a bottle of their Phyto-Gel Cleanser, which was recommended for oily-combination skin from one of the girls at the spa.
I absolutely love this stuff. It’s helped control my oily T-Zone and breakouts. Best part is that it’s so gentle on the skin, but does a great job deep cleaning. It never leaves my face feeling tight or dry and the scent is very pleasant (reminds me of my honeymoon spa days).
I’m at the end of my bottle (lasted me 6 months) and was relieved to know that I wouldn’t have to travel to Mexico to replenish my supply. At only $30, it’s a great price.

If you haven’t yet, make sure you pick up the December issue of Allure magazine! There’s a great feature on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and an exclusive behind the scenes look at their beauty routine:
Kyle Richards tells Allure, “Shadow then liquid on top makes everything last longer and makes it easier to draw the liquid. It doesn’t get as squiggly.” The actress and aunt of Paris Hilton also reveals she uses L’Orèal Paris Voluminous Mascara.
Lisa Vanderpump, who always looks perfectly coiffed, shares a tip she learned from co-star Kyle Richards for eyes, “The trick: You put individual fakes on and clean around them when you take your makeup off,” she says. “They will actually stay on for two or three days. Kyle taught me that.” Vanderpump also uses Yves Saint Laurent Touch Èclat and Ken Paves hairpieces.
When it comes to the gorgeous Camille Grammer, Allure reveals she uses two Giorgio Armani foundation shades and a rosy pink Le Métier de Beauté lipstick called Palm Springs.
Another interesting tidbit? Bravo only provides professional makeup for the reunions and confessional interviews.
