Exfoliation is so essential for healthy skin and I have recently discovered a microdermabrasion system that has changed my skin. I have always had combination skin that was very dry in some spots and very oily, with pimples, in others. Trying to find products that would perform well with my skin type has always been an issue.
I started using the PMD about a month ago and what a difference it has made. My dry spots are completely gone and my oily spots have become less oily and my skin texture is incredible.
The PMD system is easy to use and comes with an instructional DVD to ensure you are using the system properly. You will learn all the steps necessary to get the level of exfoliation appropriate for your skin. I have worked my way up to the strongest disc and use it once every 6 days with fantastic results. It has been featured on Good Morning America, Dr. Oz, The Doctors, and Extra!
Since starting the PMD system, my makeup goes on smoother, I use less of it, and it seems to me that my skincare products are working better as well. I have been getting compliments like “Your skin is beautiful!” and “You look refreshed” which is a very new experience for me. I am sure my skin is looking and feeling so great because I am now getting all the dead skin off and my skincare products (an article to come on my Dermalogica skincare routine) are able to work their magic on fresh, healthy skin.
The system is recommended for those with fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, acne, skin discolorations, and other imperfections who want smooth, even-toned skin (source: www.personalmicroderm.com). My skin has completely transformed since starting my PMD routine and I am confident yours will too.
The PMD Personal Microderm System is available at www.personalmicroderm.com for $179.99.

I am an African American woman. About 97% of the blogs that I follow regularly are beauty or hair blogs by black women. I follow this website because the caliber of the beauty information and interviews seem to be better than on many of Black beauty blogs which are often ran by people who’ve decided to take up blogging and may not necessarily have beauty expertise. I also appreciate that there have been features on here written specifically for African Americans. Going forth, I would love to see even more reviews on products for African Americans, particularly products for kinky (natural) hair and makeup that looks best on dark skin. I am completely inept in those areas! Thanks!
Thanks, Lisa for your response! As an African-American myself, it’s important for me to have beauty advice for all women–including women of color. We’ve got some great interviews and advice in the works for natural hair care and makeup/skin care for darker complexions–so stay tuned. Good luck in the contest!
I do like to read about skin care and makeup that really works not just stuff people want to sell. I like to get the info from blogs b/c it will usually be more honest. So I would say just honest true thinks.
