Weekend Beauty Roundup: Getting Down to the Basics

Sunday is my day for stocking up on basics and new finds!

Sunday is my day for stocking up on basics and new finds!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! After 4 days of no internet, we finally figured out that our modem was shot and we replaced it with a shiny new one that works perfectly on Saturday. Having internet back made my weekend.

On Sundays, I love to go and shop beauty. I’m relaxed and it’s a perfect way to wind down the weekend.

So I took a trip to Image Beauty yesterday specifically for some new polishes for some Valentine’s Day nail looks. I found some great colors to work with and also picked up some other necessities along the way:

  • O.P.I. The Top Ten- I really liked this set because of the pale white shade, pinks and reds. But when I saw the other colors I figured I couldn’t lose with this set, $25. The colors are:

•Alpine Snow
•Bubble Bath
•Tickle My France-y
•Kiss Me On My Tulips
•Red Lights Ahead…Where?
•Big Apple Red
•I’m Not Really a Waitress
•You Don’t Know Jacques!
•Lincoln Park After Dark

  • Spornette Pink Little Wonder Brush– I needed a smaller brush that was good for teasing, so I picked up this brush for only $3.99
  • Aristocrat Rat Tail Comb- Another staple to have around for parting hair, teasing, etc. I always seem to lose them , so for $0.19 I had to pick one up.
  • Victoria Vogue#103 Makeup Artist Compact Puffs– When makeup artist Wayne Goss says apply loose powder with a puff instead of a brush, that’s all I need to hear.  $2.99 for 2
