I’ve heard so many great things about Make Up For Ever’s HD Foundation, I was excited to try out their newest foundation, Pro Finish. A powder foundation that can be used either wet or dry, it was designed to give phenomenal matte coverage quickly and on the go if needed. Here’s how it stacked up:

Color Match: Since this was the first time with the brand, I had no clue what color to try. No worries. From just a photo, a MUFE artist was able to match my complexion with the right shade, #127 Golden Sand. The color was a perfect match….which isn’t always easy since I have such yellow undertones.

 Application: Since this foundation can be used either wet or dry, I decided to apply it wet for a less matte finish. Inside the compact is a high quality sponge that can be wet for application of Pro Finish. I loved how quickly I was able to apply the product—I’m always late, so this is an added bonus.

Coverage: This is an area where Pro Finish excelled. I had a small minor burn on my face from a depilatory (long story, folks) and was super self conscious about it. One swipe of Pro Finish and the mark disappeared from my face.  Flawless finish. Even when applied with a wet sponge, the coverage is still more matte then I’m used to, so I’m saving it for when I need a little more coverage. For day to day, I prefer a tinted moisturizer.

Longevity: Lasted my whole work day and longer.
